There’s something special about seeing the Village after dark, its heritage homes and buildings illuminated by streetlamps and lanterns. That’s why we love hosting our annual Light Up The Night event, a celebration beneath the stars that helps raise funds to support our educational efforts and care for Black Creek’s collection of historic treasures.
This year’s edition, held on August 30, brought out friends and first-time visitors alike to enjoy an after-hours experience like no other, complete with craft beers and authentic 19th century virgin cocktails, hand-prepared gourmet treats, introductions to historic crafts and trades, a silent auction, and — for the adventurous — a little friendly axe-throwing. All this, plus a rousing performance by local indie rockers Jane’s Party.
To all who joined us for the evening, and to the many donors who contributed generously to our silent auction: Thank you for helping Light Up the Night shine a little brighter. Your support means the world to us. We hope you’ll return soon to experience all of the amazing new things happening at Pioneer Village.
